“When would you like me to check back with you… on (option #1), or would next (option #2) be better?”

I can’t tell you specifically what to say for Option #1 and Option #2, it varies and depends on the conversation… it might be later the same day, later in the week, later in the month or later in the year or another time. The Most Important MLM Follow-Up Tip, though is to NEVER ever walk away from a conversation with a prospect (in person or on the phone) without scheduling a follow-up.

Now, when I say ‘scheduling’ it’s best for it to be a specific time and day/date but… don’t be pushy or arrogant. Respect everyone and that includes yourself!

And TIP #2… mark it on your calendar! Never, ever, ever ask… then drop the ball and not make note of the next follow-up date / time. I’m going to be blunt here… when you don’t follow-up and on time, it’s unprofessional, it’s rude and it’s wrong! NO if’s, and’s or but’s about it. Never ever be THAT person!
