In his book, No Excuses, Brian Tracy begins with having us define success with the question, “How do you define success?”
He has us describe what the perfect life would look like if we were able to ‘wave a magic wand’ and all would be ideal in the following categories;
- Business, Work, and Career
- Family Life
So… let’s do it now!
Business, Work, Career… if perfect in every way, what would this look like to you?
What would you ACTUALLY be doing?
What company would you for?
What position would you have?
How much money would you earn?
What kind of people would you work with?
And MOST IMPORTANTLY, what would you need to do MORE and LESS of to create the perfect career?
Family Life… if perfect in every way, what would it look like to you?
Where would you live?
What kind of lifestyle would you have?
What things would you have and do with your family members?
If NO LIMITATIONS existed, in what ways would you change your family life today?
And MOST IMPORTANTLY, what would you need to do MORE and LESS of to create the perfect family life?
Health… if perfect in every way, what would it look like to you?
How would you feel?
How much would you weigh?
How would your levels of health and fitness be different than what they are today?
And MOST IMPORTANTLY, what would you need to do MORE and LESS of to create perfect health?
Financial Situation… if perfect in every way, what would it look like to you?
How much would you have in the bank?
How much would you earn each month? Each year?
If you had enough money so that you’d NEVER have to worry about finances again, how much money would that be?
And MOST IMPORTANTLY, what would you need to do MORE and LESS of to create perfect financial life?
I want to encourage you to do two things;
- Pull out paper and pen (NOW… NO Procrastinating!) and answer the questions above. Don’t over think it! Just quickly write what comes to mind as you read each question.
- Order Brain Tracy’s Book (NOW… NO Procrastinating!) Here’s the Amazon Prime link (you’ll have it in 2 days!) – No Excuses!: The Power of Self-Discipline
and if you find yourself procrastinating… and want to put a stop to procrastination once and for all, I’d recommend Eat That Frog, also written by Brian Tracy!
