What is a Miracle Morning Routine?
A Miracle Morning Routine is a way to power start your day… to set yourself up to have a day with purpose, discipline, growth and to be GOAL oriented.
Don’t you agree those are the things needed in order to have a day where you think back and say, “WOW! Today was AMAZING!!!”
Wouldn’t you love for that to be how you describe most all of your days? It can be! And I know this, because that’s what I say almost every day now, but it’s not always been that way for me!
You see, back in January 2013, I purchased one of my first online courses. It was called The Focus Formula, by Dr. Anthony Fernando and I will forever be grateful for what he taught me. At the time of this blog, the course is no longer available but he’s promised, that one day it will return — so depending on when you are reading this, you might want to google it!
If you aren’t able to locate it, though… no worries! I’ve found another resource called The Miracle Morning for Network Marketers and I’ve taken what I learned from it and from Dr. Anthony and combined the two and that’s what I will be sharing with you here today.

Let’s Breakdown the Steps of Your Miracle Morning Routine
#1 Silence (5 – 10 minutes) – Beginning my day with silence! REALLY? What does that have to do with prepping for a fabulous day? Did that thought cross your mind when you read silence in the list above? I know I did when I was first introduced to beginning my day being quiet and ‘stilling’ my mind without thoughts. I remember thinking, “I just woke up, I’ve been still and quiet all night long!”
Learning to meditate, to be still and quiet can be hard and especially for the entrepreneur mind!
STRESS is one of the most common reasons network marketers lose focus — which looses them business. That’s a fact.
And did you know that one of the best ways to combat stress is to quieten the mind? To be silent. Silence in the form of meditation not only reduces your stress, which improves your health but also improves your ability to think!
TRY it for 30 days. Below, I’ll give you a really cool tool that I started with and still use today, 778 days later (and it’s FREE)!
If I can do it… you can, too! Just trust me.
#2 Affirmations (5 – 10 minutes) – I’m not going to go into this one much here because… I devoted an entire blog post to it here Affirmations for Network Marketers.
For you who may be questioning ‘affirmations’ and thinking of them as stupid lies we tell ourselves, I will say, been there, done that! Again, try it for 30 days and trust me… you won’t stop!
Affirmations are one of the most common practices by some of the most successful athletes and professionals in almost every occupation. It’s not just a ‘network marketing’ thing.

#3 Vision (5 minutes) – This is truly one of my favorite parts of my Miracle Morning Routine and I must give credit to Dr. Anthony for the tool I still use to this day which I’ll share with you below but I was first introduced to ‘Vision’ and the importance of having a strong vision by a man in our industry that I have the utmost respect for, Mr. Richard Brooke.
Richard’s book, Mach II With Your Hair on Fire was one of the first books I read when I first started in Network Marketing and one of my first ‘visions’ was to get to a place in my career where I was able to have him come to my home and ‘train’… on vision.
And that he did — and to top it off, he included me in the process. To the top left, this is me interviewing Richard in our backyard! Talk about a VISION come true!!!
# 4 Exercise (10 – 20 minutes) – What can I say that you don’t already know? Let me set you clear, though… this isn’t about ‘replacing’ your afternoon or evening exercise routine. We’re not trying to change that.
Make exercise a daily part of your Miracle Morning Routine and just as Hal and Pat talk about in the book, The Miracle Morning Routine for Network Marketers… “it will significantly enhance your health, improve your self-confidence and emotional well being — enable you to think better and concentrate longer.”
You only need 5 – 10 minutes. It does not need to be anything formal or difficult. Do some stretching, a few jumping jacks, or a quick walk around the block. Get the idea? The point is, just move a little (in the morning) and get your blood flowing. I guarantee your day will be better.
#5 Reading (20 minutes) – If you know me at all… even if we’ve just met, you know I’m all about DAILY reading! And what I know is, we’ve got to do the most important stuff first, otherwise life gets in the way and excuses follow, then procrastination sets in and we never get to the important stuff.
Reading daily is the important stuff! It’s a must. It’s an absolute must. I don’t care if all you can do is 5 pages, 3 pages or 2… just be sure you are reading daily — and make it a part of your Miracle Morning Routine. It’s that important.

#6 Scribing or Journaling (5 – 10 minutes) – Don’t overthink or complicate this one! Just grab pen and paper and write your thoughts or whatever comes to your mind.
I love to do this 5th (after I’ve read — then I exercise last) I didn’t want to mess with the acronym; SAVERS so I left it at #6 but I prefer to journal immediately after and many times combined with my daily reading.
I’ve found this to be when my thoughts flow… and I have the most ‘ideas’ and putting them down on paper saves them from being forgotten and lost forever!
Helpful Tools for Your Miracle Morning Routine
I’m all about tools… especially if it’s a tool that can keep me focused on my goals, on track and organized.
When it comes to my Miracle Morning Routine I have several favorite tools and I’ll share each of them with you! And the cool thing is… most are FREE! Who doesn’t like free?
Tool #1 on my list is an app called Insight Timer. This is the tool that Dr. Anthony Fernando recommended to me many years ago that I mentioned above in #3 (Vision) but I use this for tracking each phase of my Miracle Morning Routine daily; Silence, Affirmations, Vision, Exercise, Reading, Scripting.
I’ve posted a photo to the right of how I have my Insight Timer set up. As you can see, the times noted above (nor the order) are set in stone… be flexible. Find what works best for you. I’ll talk more about this below.
I should point out, I have an iPhone, and I’m not sure if this app is available for android or other devices but if not, I’m sure there is one that is similar.
You’ll notice, I’ve included my Bible Study, Prayer and Gratitude (journaling) in my timer tracking. Sixty minutes in the beginning was a struggle… but it quickly developed into ninety minutes that I look forward to every morning!
Tool #2 is simply a pocket folder with brads! I typed up my affirmations, which I update every 3 – 4 months and then print out and place in my Miracle Morning Routine folder, which is purple… of course! I also include a brief outline of my Miracle Morning Routine, along with my favorite scriptures and quotes.
Tool #3 is SO COOL!!! It’s Animoto.com (for Vision) It’s an online Video Maker and is super easy and fun!
I’ll be honest, it was a struggle for me at first. In fact, my very first ‘version’ of my Vision Video took me an entire weekend to complete. I worked on it somewhere between 16 and 18 hours… no exaggeration! At the time of this blog post, though, I am on Vision Video Version #24 and my latest one took less than an hour to complete. I update my Vision Video every 3 – 4 months now.
If you aren’t up for the challenge, simply creating a vision board (google it) is fine but I do want to encourage you to give it a shot. There is something extra special when you put music with images and words — music with your dreams and goals is extra magical!
Tool #4 is a journal I recently received as a gift. I’ve used many different types of journals through the years but this newest one is my favorite. My daughter, Jordan gave it to me at Christmas. She and I work together and she shares my passion for a Miracle Morning Routine. She has a blog, as well — you might want to check out. You can find it at JordanMaylea.com. The journal she gave me is an ErinCondren.com spiral style and extra fun! There are many options for customizing and putting your own personality into it!
You Can be Flexible With Your Miracle Morning Routine
I’m not going to go into a lot of detail here, as there are so many options. The thing is — don’t NOT start a Miracle Morning Routine because you aren’t a morning person, you work a full-time job and leave the house early in the morning or because your children are young and you think you won’t be able to fit it in. Each of those ‘reasons’ are only excuses. When something is important to us, when we see the value — we find a way to make it happen!
In Hal Elrod’s book, The Miracle Morning, he offers suggestions for adjusting the routine, how to make it a habit and how you can even start with a 6-minute daily routine — or to use on occasion when it’s really not possible to block off 30 – 60 minutes.
In the book Hal co-authored with Pat Petrini, The Miracle Morning for Network Marketers… there are 18 interviews with Top 1% Network Marketers who share their morning routines! If you have any desire to be in the top 1%, these interviews alone are worth grabbing a copy of the book and reading!
