- Stick to a Maximum of 12 Annual Goals
Why twelve? Because it works! I’ve tried more and I’ve tried less. Around 12 is the sweet spot! Enough to inspire and challenge you but not too many to overwhelm you!
These can be big or small, personal or professional, if it’s something you want to accomplish in the next year (12 months), it goes on the list! Once you’ve got your goals in front of you, it's time to do some prioritizing.
Now, number and assign a quarter of the year to each goal.
Next, Break Each Goal Down Into Detail
Think of this process as carving out your path – step by step.
So, what does this breakdown look like? It could be a set of smaller tasks that lead to accomplishing your goal, resources you'd need, or even potential barriers that you might face.
Congratulations! You’ve Got Annual Goals and Quarterly Goals
Now It’s Time For Weekly and Daily
- Each week select your BIG three (which align with the quarter)
- Each day select your BIG three (which align with the week)
Going forward, simply “Rinse and Repeat” and you’ll watch yourself transform into a Goal Achieving Machine!
