What are you currently doing as an entrepreneur and how long have you been involved with this particular endeavor and what inspired you to pursue it?
Rather than a traditional 9-5 job, an opportunity was presented when we bought a house in 2018 for our son and his friends. When the realtor mentioned sending cookies to our business address, the concept for “Gifts Matter” was born. I proposed the idea of a business providing closing gifts for realtors and builders, reflecting how crucial the right gift can be for family, friends, or clients.
Describe your typical daily routine, including your morning and evening habits? Are there any specific habits and/or routines that particularly contribute to your business success and your peace of mind within your busy schedule?
As a home-based business owner, I balance my work with family responsibilities, while maintaining flexibility in my routine. While some days involve client pick-ups, others see me posting new product pictures on social media, attending networking events, or working with clients on personalized gift ideas. My business thrives thanks to my clients, and I take pride in my customer service and gift presentation.
What are the top three sources that inspire you in your business journey, whether individuals, experiences, locations, etc?
- Family and friends' support is crucial to my home-based business.
- Operating from home provides the flexibility of managing life's varying aspects in one place.
- The joy of crafting unique and practical gifts comes from continually striving to exceed the standards of each previous creation.
Are there any business tools or resources that you rely on to facilitate your day-to-today operations?
Social media is definitely crucial, especially since I operate a home-based business, so people can conveniently browse my page for gifts!
Throughout your journey as an entrepreneur, what are key lessons you have learned that have steered you to your current success?
Good customer service, & being easy to work with because people can go somewhere else but they choose to come back and support my business!
On challenging days, weeks, or months, have you ever contemplated giving up? If so, how do you gather your strength and remain resilient to continue to pursue your entrepreneurial journey?
This is a hard question but I really never thought about giving up. I keep posting & networking and praying for the best results at the end!
