Let's dive into the interview!

What are you currently doing as an entrepreneur and how long have you been involved with this particular endeavor and what inspired you to pursue it?

I started as a network marketer in 2015, transitioned to course creation and digital content by 2019, and expanded as a certified Journal Therapy coach during the pandemic. Now, I offer personalized coaching for home-based business clients focused on their personal and professional growth.

Describe your typical daily routine, including your morning and evening habits? Are there any specific habits and/or routines that particularly contribute to your business success and your peace of mind within your busy schedule?

My day starts with devotion, journaling, and personal development, followed by exercise and a healthy breakfast. My work begins at 10am, including reviewing my top 3 goals, checking emails, and enjoying a mid-morning break with my dogs. Afternoon involves content batching with some variety each day. Late afternoon and evenings are spent with my dogs and husband, including games, dinner, and TV. I conclude with skincare and reading. This structured routine, easing into my day, notably improves my mood, focus, and overall peace.

What are the top three sources that inspire you in your business journey, whether individuals, experiences, locations, etc?

Doing activities I enjoy fuels my creativity, such as walks or spending time outdoors with my dogs. Prioritizing fun has improved my mood and helped me manage the stress of running my business better. I also learn something new weekly, be it from a book, online course, or podcast to stay innovative. Additionally, my father—who built a successful business from scratch—greatly inspires and advises me.

Are there any business tools or resources that you rely on to facilitate your day-to-today operations?

A planner! I would be so lost without my planner – and I'm pretty old school, I absolutely love a physical planner. I also love the Penny app to help me keep track of clients and leads. The app also provides awesome reminders for me too.

Throughout your journey as an entrepreneur, what are key lessons you have learned that have steered you to your current success?

My recent mantra, “Keep Going,” serves as a reminder that my mission is to help women prioritize personal and professional growth in business. As an entrepreneur, it's crucial to push past discouragement and thoughts of quitting, an often-sign of impending growth. Persist, no matter the challenges or lack of faith from others, because your next step could mean leveling up.

On challenging days, weeks, or months, have you ever contemplated giving up? If so, how do you gather your strength and remain resilient to continue to pursue your entrepreneurial journey?

Oh absolutely, it essentially means I often need a break when overwhelmed. This could involve an afternoon off, a day off, a social media detox, or a weekend getaway. I've learned the value of rest and the importance of having a supportive friend or networking group to share experiences with. They provide needed encouragement.

To round off, let's bring in a few personal aspects. What's your definition of success? Do you have a personal mantra that you live by? Can you also share a recent or favorite book you read that provided you with new insights or perspectives?

I used to believe only financial stability equaled success. However, I've learned success also includes gaining followers, growing my online community, selling smaller products, and having my posts shared. Consistency and daily involvement are crucial. My mantra, from a mentor, is “Leaders are repeaters.”
