Hey there! Kathy here.
Creating one video at a time can make YouTube feel heavier than it needs to.
When you’re constantly switching between planning, recording, editing, uploading, and scheduling, your brain never gets to settle into one type of work.
That’s why learning how to batch YouTube content can make such a difference. In this episode, I’m sharing a simple way to batch your videos so content creation feels less overwhelming and much easier to maintain long-term.
“Batching creates breathing room.” – Kathy Schneider
Batching Starts Before You Record
Batching does not begin when the camera turns on.
It starts with planning.
Before recording, it helps to know:
- your video titles
- your thumbnail text
- your main topic
- the next video in the series
- the general flow of each episode
This removes a huge amount of decision fatigue before you ever press record.
Group Similar Tasks Together
One reason batching works so well is because your brain stays focused on one type of task.
Instead of planning one day, recording another day, editing another day, and uploading another day, you group similar tasks together.
For example:
- plan all five videos
- record all five videos
- create thumbnails together
- schedule videos together
That creates momentum and usually takes far less time overall.
Keep Your Recording Setup Simple
A lot of solopreneurs delay YouTube because they think everything needs to look highly produced.
It doesn’t.
Your setup needs to be simple enough that you’ll actually use it again.
The goal is repeatable, not exhausting.omplete path.
Create a Repeatable Recording Process
Following the same structure every time you record makes the process faster.
For example, your videos might include:
- intro
- transition
- teaching
- soft CTA
- main CTA
When the structure is already decided, you aren’t reinventing the flow each week. One simple workflow step I recommend is creating your playlist before uploading the first video in the series.
This helps you stay focused and organized from the beginning.
Your playlist becomes a container for the series. It helps you map the flow of your content, connect the episodes together, and make it easier for your audience to continue watching.
Instead of treating the playlist like an afterthought, make it part of your planning process.Your freebies aren’t separate from your business.
They’re the entry point.
They support:
- your email list
- your entry offers
- your core offers
When every piece works together, your business feels more intentional and much easier to manage.
Create Margin With One Extra Video
One of the most powerful shifts is creating one extra video each month.
Most months only have four Mondays.
If you batch five videos every month, that extra video slowly creates breathing room.
This Week’s Affirmation:

Your Next Step
Stop. Right now.
Schedule a time on your calendar to batch your next (or first) YouTube Series.
Write it down. Make it happen.
