What are you currently doing as an entrepreneur and how long have you been involved with this particular endeavor and what inspired you to pursue it?
My current endeavor is helping people create and sell digital products to make extra money, and teaching them how to sell them on social media – mostly Instagram. I've done tons of “side hustles” and I realized that all of them involved creating and selling digital products in some way and that I'd been doing that for the last 15 years. I sold my first digital product in 2008. It was a course + coaching teaching people how to start a blog.
Describe your typical daily routine, including your morning and evening habits. Are there any specific habits and/or routines that particularly contribute to your business success and your peace of mind within your busy schedule?
In the morning, I read scriptures, pray, journal, and do a short meditation. I get my kids to school and then work out. Then I work! My evening routine varies based on what kids are home, who's home for dinner, and what sports are going on. Before I go to bed, I think of one thing I'm grateful for, then read mysteries to fall asleep.
What are the top three sources that inspire you in your business journey, whether individuals, experiences, locations, etc?
1 – Helping other moms make money from home, around their kids, and their schedule inspires me. I'm so grateful that I was able to stay home with my kids and not have to put them in daycare – and make extra money to help our family.
2 – I love learning new things about marketing and learning how it works. It's mostly human psychology which I find fascinating.
3 – Having time and location freedom inspires me – being able to work where and when I want to is a huge driver for me.
Are there any business tools or resources that you rely on to facilitate your day-to-day operations?
My phone, social media (how amazing that we can market 24/7 on fun platforms for FREE!), Canva, Laptop Lifestyle funnels for my websites
Throughout your journey as an entrepreneur, what are key lessons you have learned that have steered you to your current success?
1 – Decide what you want to accomplish and stay focused on it until you're done. The biggest reason people fail online is because they get distracted and never get something up and running.
2 – Find great business friends! Having a support system and people to bounce ideas off of is huge!
3 – Be an expert in something. Learn a skill. Go deep into a topic, get good at it, then teach it or share it with others.
On challenging days, weeks, or months, have you ever contemplated giving up? If so, how do you gather your strength and remain resilient to continue to pursue your entrepreneurial journey?
I never give up, but I've taken long breaks. When you truly love what you're doing, you don't think about “quitting”. It's just part of who you are.
To round off, let's bring in a few personal aspects. What's your definition of success? Do you have a personal mantra that you live by? Can you also share a recent or favorite book you read that provided you with new insights or perspectives?
My definition of success is freedom and joy — being able to do work you love, when you want, and where you want. I love having options and serving others. I love being able to do it in my own way!
