VIP Entrepreneur Spotlight: JK Rowling
This week we are shining the spotlight on a solopreneur who has learned how to build a new habit that actually sticks and has experienced personal triumph. She has embraced the power of habit and witnessed remarkable results in her business and life.
This is not just another success story; it's a real-life testament to the power of habit and its profound impact on a solopreneur's journey. Get ready to gain valuable insights, practical tips, and a fresh dose of motivation that will fuel your own habit-building endeavors.
Are you a Harry Potter fan? If so, you may not be familiar with the story behind the wizard.
JK Rowling was once fired from her job as a secretary for daydreaming and writing stories. This experience became the inspiration for her character, Harry Potter.
She was the first author to become a billionaire solely from writing books.
Found it interesting that she wrote the first draft of Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone on an old manual typewriter.
She was named after her grandmother, whose name was also Joanne, but her publisher suggested she use the initials “J.K.” because they thought her target audience of young boys (publisher might have missed this one) might not want to read a book written by a woman.
Rowling is a big fan of the sport of Quidditch and even helped found the International Quidditch Association. It’s a ‘wizarding sport’ in Harry Potter that was played on flying broomsticks and was created into a has-been renamed Quadball and played at more than 100 colleges in the US.
