The Essentials To Reach Peak Performance In Your Life & Business

In this week’s video, I’m sharing 5 Core Elements for Productivity and Practical Tips for Implementing.

*Be sure to watch the video above if you want a walkthrough to reach peak performance in your life & business, be more productive, and you want tips to implement what you learn!

5 Core Elements for More Productivity:

  1. Goal Setting: Clearly outline your short-term, mid-term, and long-term goals. Break them down into smaller, manageable projects and tasks, then take it a step further and prioritize them.
  2. Time Management: Develop an ideal daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly routine to align your values for both work and personal life. Utilize business and time management tools like google calendar, Asana, and a timer (preferably not your phone) that sits at your workspace.
  3. Outsourcing and Automation: Identify tasks that can be outsourced or automated, allowing you the time to focus on high-priority tasks. Do this for both personal, household, and your business.
  4. Continuous Learning: Effective entrepreneurs never stop learning. Seek out courses, resources, or mentorship to sharpen your skills and foster personal growth.
  5. Execution and Accountability: Implement what you learn and your ideas with a sense of urgency and consistently evaluate your progress. Hold yourself accountable by setting deadlines and rewards for completion but also, adjust your plans as necessary.

Practical Tips to Help Improve Your Productivity

Adopting this method will not only increase your focus and productivity but is also a brilliant solution for better time management. Work in focused 45-minute blocks followed by a 15-minute stand-up, move your body, no devise break. You will be amazed how this will keep you refreshed and focused!

Create a dedicated workspace, turn off notifications, and set boundaries to minimize interruptions during ‘always’ time blocks. If you are a mom with little ones at home, depending on the age of your kiddos, you might only be able to do one 45-minute block a day during their nap or if they are past the nap stage, then during their “scheduled” quiet time. I have this little sign I purchased from Etsy that hangs on my home office door during my 45-minute block times.

Get comfortable with saying it and being okay with it. You must protect your time and energy by only taking on tasks that directly align with your values and your goals. Saying no to non-essential commitments is not a sign of weakness but a display of self-respect and focus. Trust that by staying true to your purpose and limiting distractions, you'll be able to invest your time in endeavors that truly matter.

Focus your time and effort on the 20% of tasks that deliver 80% of the desired results. By doing so, you can prioritize effectively, ensuring that your actions align with your values and goals. Embrace the power of intentional choices and make every moment count on your journey toward success and fulfillment. Remember, it's not about doing more, but rather doing what truly matters. Let your actions be driven by purpose, and watch as your productivity soars and your accomplishments flourish.

Set aside time each day, to review your tasks, evaluate your progress, and recalibrate your goals. I have a goal template that I created in Asana that I use for my Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, and Annual goals. It takes me 2 minutes to keep check-in and make sure I’m on track… then if I need to adjust, I can.

VIP Entrepreneur Spotlight: Katrina Lake

Reach Peak Performance In Your Life & Business

Katrina Lake is a pioneering entrepreneur and businesswoman, best known as the founder and CEO of Stitch Fix, an innovative online personal styling service.

As one of the youngest female tech entrepreneurs to take a company public, Lake has become a global figurehead for women in business. Known for blending data science and human expertise, she continues to shape the future of personalized retail shopping.

Katrina Lake founded her company, Stitch Fix, in 2011 while in her thirties. She didn't have entrepreneurial parents or a long line of business owners to guide her. Instead, she trusted her idea, went with her gut, and followed her heart, making her an inspiration for all solopreneurs.

Her inspiration for starting Stitch Fix came from noticing a problem that would often plague shoppers: difficulty in finding clothes that both fit well and matched their tastes. She aimed to fill this gap in the market, demonstrating the power of entrepreneurship in providing solutions to common problems.

Despite having a great idea, she still faced significant challenges in securing funding, especially as a woman in a predominantly male industry. However, Katrina didn't let this deter her and, instead, focused on doing everything she could to make her business succeed. Her resourcefulness and tenacity can offer motivation to struggling solopreneurs.

Katrina Lake made history in 2017 as the youngest woman to take a company public in the United States. Stitch Fix's initial public offering (IPO) was a significant milestone, proving that age doesn't necessarily limit one's success in business.

Despite her achievements, Katrina remains humble and connects with her employees on a personal level, creating an inclusive and supportive environment. She values transparency and cultivates a company culture where ideas from all levels are encouraged and appreciated.

Meanwhile, as a working mom, she understands the importance of work-life balance and encourages it within her company. Her attention to the needs of her employees and herself shows her ability to balance personal life and work effectively, a crucial lesson for solopreneurs who often struggle to manage their time.

Katrina believes in the power of data and constantly strives to learn from it to improve her business. Therefore her approach of marrying human judgment with algorithms has been one of the keys to Stitch Fix's success, setting an example for solopreneurs to be innovative and constantly learn in their own businesses.
